Clematis viticella ‘Royal Velours’

Clematis viticella ‘Royal Velours’ has attractive, dark green foliage, although you might not notice it in July, August and September. Instead, your eyes will be drawn to the prolific, pink flowers that cover this Old Man’s Beard during the summer months. These blooms are small but perfectly formed and look particularly appealing amongst other plants such as mature trees. Viticella varieties are excellent climbers so can also be grown up walls or pergolas. Wherever you choose to plant this cultivar, it will produce great results and require minimal maintenance.
