Eucalyptus gunnii

Eucalyptus gunnii , sometimes called Cider Gum or Ironbark, is a large tree, native to Tasmania, Australia. It has silver pewter like, oval leaves when young, which become more linear and green as the tree ages. The foliage is evergreen and like all Eucalyptus, it has spectacular bark on the trunk of the tree. Clusters of small white flowers emerge in summer. It is fast growing but easy to manage, and is perfect for medium to large front or back gardens, in a sunny position. This tree has an Award of Garden Merit from the RHS. Spread: Up to 10m (32ft) if not pruned.
