Heather x darleyensis

The weatherproof, tough flowers of Evergreen Heathers make them one of today’s most popular choices. Their neat clusters of lilac-mauve flowers last from December through to May – great for bringing colour to your garden in the dullest time of year. Evergreen heathers are easy to grow and ideal for smaller gardens. Unusually, Erica Darleyensis doesn’t demand acidic soil. You can happily plant this delightful heather into rockeries, banks and slopes. Alternatively, try mixing them up with Ivy and Winter Pansies. As an alternative, try planting them in clumps under shrubs and trees. Erica Darleyensis also makes perfect weed-stifling ground cover. Height: 30cm (12). Spread: 60cm (24).
