Kiwi ‘Hayward’ and ‘Tomuri’

One of the best traditional varieties to grow in the UK! Kiwi ‘Hayward’ flowers later in the season and produces a heavy crop of large fruits with a superb flavour. Kiwi ‘Hayward’ is a self sterile female plant so it must be planted next to a male plant to provide pollen and produce fruit. We recommend planting Kiwi ‘Tomuri’ as a male plant. This vigorous male will not produce fruit but makes an attractive feature with its heart shaped leaves and large creamy white flowers which will aid pollination of ‘Hayward’. Height: 9m (29′). Spread: 5m (16′). Please note, fruit trees will be despatched as early as possible this autumn, once they have gone dormant and are in the ideal condition for lifting from the nursery and for transplanting by our customers
