Bean (Runner/Butter) Seeds – Czar
A heritage runner bean, for fresh young green pods or drying for butter beans – perfect for soups and casseroles, and a good source of protein, iron, vitamin B and fibre.
Bean (Runner) Seeds – Snowstorm
A self-fertile, white-flowered variety producing masses of beans that are great for cooking whole rather than cut up, and are sold at a premium in certain high-end supermarkets. Can also be left to grow to around 30cm.
Carrot Seeds – Bowling Carrots (Rondo)
These cute little round carrots are easy and fast to grow. They are great to eat, but they also make great ‘rolling carrots’. Roll them like marbles or use them to play a game like skittles. They’re great fun!
Cotinus coggygria Plant
Cotinus coggygria is a large bush, or small tree with rounded green leaves with a hint of orangey-red to the margins of new leaves. Cornus alternifolia Plant
Cornus alternifolia (Pagoda Dogwood) is a large deciduous shrub or small tree with green, oval, long and broad foliage arranged alternately on the stems. In May it produces small cream flowers in clusters like most common dogwood and they’re followed by black berries. Height 301cm+. Supplied in a 7.5-10 litre pot.
Chaenomeles spec. Plant – Yukigoten
Chaenomeles speciosa ‘Yukigoten’ (Japanese Quince, Flowering quince) a large, vigorous, deciduous shrub with beautiful, double, cream flowers that attract those useful pollinating insects. The flowers are followed by aromatic yellow fruits which are edible and can be used to make jellies and preserves. Flowers March-April. Height 100-150cm. Supplied in a 10 litre pot.
