Lettuce Seeds – Winter Density

A dwarf, compact lettuce with crisp, succulent, dark green hearts. Very popular for autumn sowing; can also be sown outdoors in spring and early summer. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Cauliflower Seeds – Snowball A

Snowball produces cauliflower heads in late June from a greenhouse sowing in January. Well tried and reliable. Summer/autumn maturing.

Carrot Seeds – St. Valery

A well-known, reliable maincrop carrot producing long, tapering roots. Excellent for late summer eating or storing for winter use. A good choice as well for the large carrot class in the village show. 120 days from sowing to harvest (taken from our own trials and may vary in different areas).  

Herb Seed – Thyme Orange-Scented

A versatile perennial herb with aromatic, orange-scented foliage, attractive pale pink flowers and a strong thyme flavour.

Cornflower Seeds – Classic Fantastic

A re-selected and improved variety with good double flowers in various shades of blue, most with attractive frosted white edges. Long stems make it an ideal item for cutting. A ‘cottage garden’ favourite. Height 75cm (30"). HA – Hardy annual.

Herb Seed – Parsley Envy

A ‘must’ for the herb garden, producing strong-growing plants with dark green densely curled foliage. Ideal for pot growing as well as in the garden. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner.

Coreopsis Seeds – Mardi Gras

Narrow-petalled, star-shaped flowers in a festive mix of red and golden-yellow. The heat-tolerant plants produce masses of long-lasting blooms throughout summer. Height 40-60cm (16-24"). Easy to grow. HHA – Half-hardy annual.

Herb Seed – Oregano

A bushy perennial plant up to 50cm (20") tall with oval, pointed leaves attractive to butterflies and bees. Use for flavouring meat, pizzas and omelettes.

Carrot Seeds – F1 Resistafly

Carrot Fly attack – a real problem for some gardeners. Fine quality roots and ideal for organic growing. 110 days from sowing to harvest (taken from our own trials and may vary in different areas).  

Pepper Sweet Seeds – F1 Redskin

A naturally dwarf pepper producing good yields of sweet-flavoured blocky green fruits, up to 80g in weight, which mature to a deep red. Ideal for windowsill or conservatory too. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner.

Herb Seed – Basil Bush

Annual with small clove-scented leaves. Useful in tomato, cheese and vegetable dishes, salads and pizzas.

An excellent, heavy yielding Nantes/Berlicum hybrid. Medium early maturing roots, smooth skinned, cylindrical and uniform in colour. Stores well. Resistant to Greentop and cracking. Pansy Seeds – Adonis

Impressively large flowers in a pretty and uniquely shaded combination of two shades of blue on a white background. A lovely cool colour combo for summer pots and borders! Height 15-20cm (6-8"). HB/HP – Hardy biennial/Hardy perennial.

Cabbage Seeds – Red Drumhead

Solid, dark red, round heads of fine texture, excellent for pickling and for speciality cooked dishes. Summer/Autumn maturing.

Brussels Sprout Seeds – F1 Brigitte

High quality buttons with excellent shape, colour and flavour. A first-class brussels sprout, cropping mid October-mid December. Good disease tolerance. Early variety. F1 hybrid varieties produce a larger yield per plant of better quality. The sprouts also ‘hold’ for longer on the stem in good condition.

Broccoli Seeds – F1 Green Magic

Cut the smooth, tightly packed rich-green heads and the plants will then produce a good crop of luscious sideshoots! Shows good resistance to White Rust. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Cabbage Seeds – Golden Acre Primo (11)

An easy to grow cabbage that produces medium-sized, firm round heads maturing in summer and early autumn. Make several sowings for continuous crops. Delicious cooked or try shredded raw in salads.

Broccoli Seeds – Autumn Spear

An abundance of delicious green spears from September to November. Tom says: The slightly untidy cousin of calabrese, broccoli provides you with the first harvests of the year in January-April. The sweet, earthy flavour complements all kinds of dishes from Asian inspired stir-fries to Sunday roasts.
