Cistus x pulverulentus ‘Sunset’

Cistus x pulverulentus ‘Sunset’, sometimes called ‘Rock Rose’ or ‘Sun Rose’ is a superb plant for gardens with poor and dry condition soil. It has grey-green evergreen foliage and from June until August bright pink, tissue-paper flowers emerge, lasting for just one day, before a new flower opens to take its place, resulting in a plant with constant colour throughout the summer. It looks wonderful in rockeries and gravel gardens. It is hardy to -5c and grows fine in coastal gardens, but the plant does do best in a sheltered position. Height: 60cm (24). Spread: 90cm (36).
