Sweet Pea Matucana

One of the most strongly scented of all sweet pea varieties, ‘Matucana’ bears beautiful two-tone purple and scarlet blooms from June to September. This old heirloom variety was brought to Britain by a Sicilian monk in 1700 and remains a favourite today. The bushy plants of ‘Matucana’ are perfect for srambling over obelisks – no cottage garden is complete without it. Height: 180cm (71in). Spread: 30cm (12in).Useful links:How to grow sweet peas
