Anemone hupehensis var. japonica ‘Prinz Heinrich’
There are few flowers more stunning than the deep pink, semi-double blooms of the Chinese Anemone when they appear in July, August and September. The colour of the rolled petals fades to a pretty, pale pink as the season progresses, providing the perfect counterpart to the hardy perennial’s dark green leaves. Bees and butterflies agree, for pollinators are attracted to the plant’s sweet nectar. The spreading, clumping foliage provides excellent ground cover in sunny borders, making the Anemone hupehensis var. japonica ‘Prinz Heinrich’ a useful, as well as beautiful, addition to any garden. Height: 75cm (2’6); Spread: 60cm (2’0).
