Gladiolus communia Bulbs – subsp. Byzantinus
A gladiolus to plant in the autumn for spring colour. Glorious magenta colour flowers with delicate white splashes – up to 20 per stem. Originating in the Mediterranean it will naturalise very well in this country. Flowering after the spring bulbs have gone and before the summer beds have full colour. Flowers May-June. Height 50-60cm; spread 1-10cm.
