Philadelphus ‘Manteau d’Hermine’
Although pure white in colour, the attractive, double blooms of Philadelphus ‘Manteau d’Hermine’ have an unusual, orange blossom scent. It is this quality that gives the RHS AGM plant its alternative name, Mock Orange. When the flowers appear in June, they attract bees, proving a useful addition to wildlife gardens. This hardy shrub is resilient enough to survive costal conditions, and has an upright habit well suited to planting in patio containers. Height: 75cm (2’6); Spread: 1.5m (4’11).
