Ajuga reptans ‘Catlins Giant’
Bugle plants can often be found in shady corners as their glossy, evergreen leaves flourish in dark, damp environments all year round. Not only do these hardy perennials require little to no maintenance, but they also minimise the amount of weeding required as their roots form mats which cannot be penetrated by undesirable intruders. Ajuga ‘Catlin’s Giant’ is a particularly interesting variety which produces blue-purple flowers on vertical stems in May and June. Height: 15cm (6); Spread: 60cm (2’0).
