Campsis radicans f. flava
This strong growing, dense, vigorous, deciduous climber bears masses of trumpet-shaped, deep yellow flowers all summer long, attaching itself to structures and climbs by aerial rootlets. Its foliage is strongly toothed with distinctive veining. As the weather begins to cool, the foliage starts to mellow to yellow-green and the blooms give way to pod-like capsules of winged seeds. Campsis radicans f. flava is not only listed by the RHS as Perfect for Pollinators, but has also been awarded a prestigious Award of Garden Merit. An excellent choice for fast cover of a fence, wall or pergola, providing it is pruned regularly to sustain the plants vigour. Height: 12m (39′). Spread: 4m (13′).
