Cornelian Cherry (Hedging)
The Cornelian Cherry can be relied upon to give you an early glimpse of spring when you need it most. Cornus mas starts the season with clusters of bright yellow flowers on bare stems in early spring to show that the grey days are almost over and summer is on the way. Each little flower will turn into a bright red berry and then as autumn comes aound the foliage takes on the familliar hues of reds and purples. As the growing year finishes your attention is turned to the rich brown bark which flakes during the winter so you have year-round interest with this versatile plant.
