Kerria japonica Plant – Golden Guinea
Kerria japonica ‘Golden Guinea’ is a deciduous shrub with slender arching stems bearing mid-green toothed leaves. In spring, the stems are covered in bright yellow star-shaped flowers that add colour to the garden when little else is flowering. Kerria japonica is a very undemanding plant that will grow in sun or shade and in most soil conditions. It flowers on new growth, so to keep it from looking scruffy, cut it back hard after flowering. It spreads by suckering and can become invasive if not checked. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Height 150-200cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
