Muscari armeniacum
The classic Grape Hyacinth – Muscari armeniacum produces densely packed spikes of tiny deep blue flowers from April to May. Easy to grow, this charming spring bulb quickly naturalises to form dense carpets of colour and has been awarded an RHS AGM. Try planting the Armenian Grape Hyacinth beneath trees and shrub as ground cover, on steep banks, in cottage gardens or even patio pots where it provides spring nectar for bees. Muscari flowers look superb with daffodils, tulips and forget-me-nots and can also be cut for a small vase indoors. Height: 20cm (8). Spread: 10cm (4). Bulb size: 6/7.
