Philadelphus coronarius ‘Variegatus’
The Mock Orange can never be ignored. For in early summer it produces a most wonderful scent. Often described as ‘orange blossom’, the fragrance wafts in the warm air and attracts bees and other beneficial garden insects in addition to humans! Even more amazing, Philadelphus coronarius ‘Variegatus’ is a variegated form and the leaves have unusual white edging. The pure white, single blooms are something to look forward to every June and this medium-sized shrub is well-deserving of its Award of Garden Merit (AGM) from the RHS. Height: 2.5m (8’2) Spread: 2m (6’7).
