Philadelphus Innocence
The name of Philadelphus ‘Innocence’ might lead you to suspect that this hardy deciduous shrub is a shy and retiring flower which prefers not to be noticed. But there is good reason why this Mock Orange has been awarded the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit). Philadelphus ‘Innocence’ not only has dark green leaves which are peppered with a yellow variegation, but it has summer flowers of the purest white. You are likely to smell them before you even see them, as the scent is heavenly. Ideal in shrub borders or as a specimen plant. Height: 2.5m (8’2). Spread 2.5m (8’2).
