Chaenomeles x superba ‘Cameo’

Look forward to an early spring treat as the gorgeous double apricot blooms of Chaenomeles x superba ‘Cameo’ appear on the bare spiny stems of this Japonica as early as March. The large flowers are a magnet for pollinating insects which appreciate the rich source of nectar so early in the year. By autumn, the green fruits of the Japanese Quince ripen to a glorious golden yellow and can be used in jellies and preserves. This plant has a neat rounded habit and can be trained against a wall, grown in a mixed border, or planted in groups for dense ground cover. Height and spread: 120cm (48).
