Pyracantha ‘Orange Glow’

Firethorn ‘Orange Glow’ is a tough but easy to grow shrub that has the reputation of being a good security feature for the home as the plant has an abundance of sharp thorns that would deter anyone from trying to climb over or push through it. Pyracantha can be trained against a wall or grown as a hedge, and is very easy to clip and maintain but don’t forget to wear thick garden gloves of course. The shrub has soft sprays of white flowers during June and July which form glowing orange berries as winter approaches so you can expect visits from wildlife as they take advantage of the colourful outdoor larder. Height and spread: 3m (10′).
