Salix babylonica ‘Tortuosa’

A fascinating deciduous tree, the Corkscrew Willow produces strongly twisted shoots and branches which make an eye-catching feature in winter. In spring, small yellow catkins appear followed by slender twisted green leaves in summer, which create a light feathery texture. Hardy and easy to grow, Salix babylonica ‘Tortuosa’ is perfect for low maintenance gardens and with a vigorous habit is excellent for quickly filling space in larger gardens. The contorted stems of the Dragon’s Claw Willow are also fantastic for cut flower arrangements. Height: 15m (49′). Spread: 8m (26′)
