Amelanchier x grandiflora ‘Princess Diana’
Much like its namesake, Amelanchier x grandiflora ‘Princess Diana’ is visually stunning. Its bronze foliage is offset by pure white flowers in April, meaning that the hardy tree can also be displayed as a decorative, upright shrub. As the season progresses, the deciduous plant’s leaves turn a traditional green colour and are complemented by dark, spherical fruit before the autumn sees them transform into a firey explosion. This Snowy Mespilus is such a fantastic small tree that the RHS have honoured it with an Award of Garden Merit or AGM. Height: 6m (19’8); Spread: 4m (13’1).
