Clematis ‘Josephine’ – Clematis plant This Old man’s beard is an intriguing cultivar, spreading to around 120cm (48′) and developing to a height of 180cm (72′). Its flowers have incredible double fluffy pom-pom-like centres in a dusky pink, set atop pale pink outer petals, along with a bold magenta stripe. ‘Josephine’ is a deciduous climber with tidy trifoliate leaves in a deep glossy green. Ideal for patio’s this Clematis enjoys growing in containers and will happily sprawl along trellis, posts and structures. Clematis ‘Josephine’ likes full sun best but does benefit from some partial shade now and again. You will witness its buds in their richest colour form when grown in direct sunlight, if placed in more shade amazing lime coloured blooms will then intrude. This rosette-forming Clematis plant will look stunning in any sized garden, it is a striking specimen born to show off its big blushing blooms.
