Honeysuckle ‘Belgica’
If you plant Honeysuckle ‘Belgica’ in your flowerbed or use it as a climber on your garden wall, you are guaranteed a spectacular, colourful display. This variety of Early Dutch Honeysuckle produces sweet-smelling white flowers in May and June, which turn yellow and gain red streaks as the summer progresses. After this initial flush, you can look forward to the hardy climbing shrub producing bright red berries and a second round of blooms in the autumn. These colours look striking next to the plant’s green foliage, making Lonicera periclymenum a treat for your eyes as well as your nose. Height: 7m (23’0); Spread: 1m (3’3).
