Korean Fir
One of the most decorative ornamental trees you could plant in your garden, the Korean Fir offers year-round appeal. Most firs don’t produce cones until they are mature, but this striking variety will start bearing cones at just 60cm (2ft) high. And what cones! Violet-purple in colour and standing upright on the branches, they develop over the summer and last until late winter. For the rest of the year, the foliage is very decorative; the dark needles with silvery undersides grow on branches that ‘twirl’ around the trunk, giving the tree a fuller appearance than some other varieties. Supplied as a single stem bareroot 20/30cm.
