Drosera (Capensis)
This fascinating Cape Sundew is an ideal beginner carnivorous plant and looks great in any room. The long sticky foliage looks like dewdrops are the part which attracts the little insects, the perfect companion for other house plants that might attract small flies. The plant digests the creatures and leaves the shells of these insects on the soil. The plant should be watered from below during the active growing season between March and September. It will not need feeding as they take care of themselves. Keep the humidity high by standing on pebbles and water. Fill the saucer with 1cm of water but no more than that. When the plant is dormant allow the soil to dry out and then water.
